Paul Cezanne

Paul Cezanne was a well known French artist during the Victorian Era. He was a very well known Post-Impressionist painter. His art consisted of vibrant colors, small brushstrokes, and an architectural style of painting. His art took a transition from strictly landscapes to a wider list of subjects like fruits, landscapes and people. Paul Cezanne started to introduce a modern sense of art when working with artist Camille Pissarro whom was also an impressionist. Together they worked together to modernize art and highly contributed to impressionism together. After working closely with Pissarro, Cezanne was able to find his own form of art. He went from painting direct observation and gradually developed a light, airy painting style.
